Drawing from a moving boat is a bad idea I keep having. You get about ninety seconds of any given angle, so you learn to take the shapes and invent the rest, and the result is looser and usually better than what I would have made on the quay.

The washes went on that evening in a cafe, from memory and a very small photograph.
